What: Puppet shows, readings, performances, and more bring their favorite books to life.
Why: A portion of proceeds benefits Rainbow Days, an organization that helps kids living in high-risk situations stay drug free.
When: Sat., 1-6 p.m.

Come visit the free public festival at NorthPark Center Saturday, April 17, from 1 pm to 6 pm on Level One between Nordstrom and Macy’s. There will be a multitude of activities centered around the world of literature. Authors and illustrators will be present to read from their very own books and will host informal illustration workshops for kids. Community guest readers will read their favorite childhood books, including a doctor, a TV personality, a pilot, among others. Storybook characters will greet and take pictures with their biggest fans! There will be puppet shows, crafts, face painting, musical entertainment and the DallasKidsRead! bookstore will be located in the Bookmarks Corridor. Books for sale include many authored and illustrated by our guest authors and illustrators! Purchase a book and get it signed by these award-winning artists.
