Is your electricity bill too much? Cut it in half!
If you are looking for an easy way to save money, perhaps you should change your electricty provider. If you have ever done it before, you know how easy it is, if not and the reason is you dont know how or never thought about it NOW is the time. Since deregulation, you are now able to choose your provider, but the service you obtain does NOT CHANGE in any way. They do not need to turn off your power and in case of an emergency you still call the same company, your local Transmission and Distribution Service Provider (TDSP). This differs depending on where you live, but the phone number can be found on your bill or website. I am always checking rates and offers and have been able to save a bundle.
The easiest way is go to Power to Choose and type in your zipcode. All the offers available to you will pop up, including rates and terms. It takes very little time and you will wish you did it sooner.
By the way, we pay 8.2 per kWh (fixed) but if you live in my zipcode you could be paying as high as 17.4. Let me do the math for you. For 2300 kWh (our average July read) we will pay $188.60, but some fool is paying $400.20...for the EXACT SAME THING. Also, keep in mind: 12 months in a year.....
